Broc Flores, DMD, FAGD, FICOI, FAACD, is originally from the west coast, growing up in Huntington Beach, California. After receiving his Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Villanova University in 2007, Dr. Flores attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and graduated with honors in 2013.
While at Tufts, Dr. Flores was a member of the United States Navy and began his Navy Career in Beaufort, South Carolina at Marine Recruit Depot Parris Island. He met his wife Stacey while stationed there and then assumed the role as Senior Medical Officer aboard the USS Anchorage (LPD-23) based in San Diego. After completing a WESTPAC deployment in 2015, Dr. Flores and his wife took orders to NAS Jacksonville. He left active duty in 2018, but still serves as a Navy Reservist here in Jacksonville. After working for several dental offices in Jacksonville, Dr. Flores found a home at Ortega Dental and made it his own.
Dr. Flores strongly believes in education and continues to educate himself on cutting edge dentistry. He travels all over the country multiple times a year to complete Continuing Education. He has begun his course study at the Kois Center, is a Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of General Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and serves as a Key Opinion Leader for Dandy Labs.
Dr. Flores lives in Avondale with his wife Stacey and his two daughters Charlotte and Devi. He is an avid Florida State Football Fan and a Villanova Basketball fan. He and his wife own and operate Fishweir Brewing Company in Murray Hill.
Join us in welcoming our new Associate Dentist, Cole Carpenter, DMD! Dr. Carpenter is originally from upstate New York and earned his degree in biology from SUNY Binghamton in New York.
He completed his dental education at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Kentucky. His passion for dentistry keeps him current with the newest technology and practices through continuing education courses.
With his deep commitment for compassionate, comprehensive care, Dr. Carpenter is dedicated to providing exceptional dental services tailored to meet your individual needs.
He recently moved to Jacksonville with his wife, Brooke, and their labradoodle Moose. Outside of the office he enjoys traveling, working out, golfing, and enjoying our beautiful coast.

Carla, Hygienist
Carla was born and raised in central California. After high school she joined the Army and became a dental assistant. While in the service, she had the opportunity to attend the Army Dental Hygiene Program. She attended Florida State College of Jacksonville in 2014 and became a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist. Carla is compassionate, down to earth, and really takes the time to put patients at ease. She enjoys getting to know patients and building a long term bond. Her goal is to make all patients feel like family. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her family.
Stephanie, Hygienist
Stephanie is new to the Ortega Dental team. She is a native of Wisconsin and proud Coast Guard veteran. In 2022, Stephanie graduated from Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. As a dental professional, she takes great joy in providing dental hygiene care and teaching her patients ways to improve their oral health. Outside of the office, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband, watching sports, traveling, and exploring outdoors.
Janessa, Hygienist
Originally from Rhode Island, Janessa has called Jacksonville home since 2016. She graduated from Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Dental Hygiene Program, where she developed her passion for promoting oral health. She is a dedicated clinician who aims to educate her patients and make their visits as comfortable as possible. Janessa is fun-loving, caring, and creative. In her free time, she enjoys making art, volunteering, cooking, and hunting for shark teeth along Florida’s coast.
